Sale Creek Veterinary Services is a veterinary service dedicated to the care of small ruminants and companion animals such as dogs and cats. We are located just outside of Chattanooga, TN. We see goats, sheep, llamas,and alpakas as well as your household pets. Examinations, preventative and ill patient health care, lab work, surgeries, and dentals are available. Ultrasound is also available and digital radiography is on the horizon.
Dr. Katherine Thigpin graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine in 1986. She has worked at Ashland Terrace Animal Hospital in Chattanooga, TN since that time. Currently Dr. Thigpin is pursuing a Masters Degree in Veterinary Forensic Science through the University of Florida. She has extensive experience in cancer treatment, ultrasonography, and ophthalmology.
In 2002, Dr. Thigpin began raising dairy goats and got “hooked!” Since that time she has been seeing and treating small ruminant patients as well as companion pets at her barn in Sale Creek.
Dr. Thigpin enjoys sharing her love of animals and her knowledge about them with others. She is available for presentations at conferences and group meetings. For the past 9 years, Dr. Thigpin has taught a variety of science courses to groups of homeschool students. Dr. Thigpin is married to Keith and has two sons, Brian and Allen.
